In the beginning…

Liz Wilson grew up in the antiques business and founded Eclectica in 1988 from a market stall in Camden passage. Her handpicked vintage jewellery soon became so popular that in 1996 she opened a boutique in Islington, London.
This tiny emporium with atmosphere of a busy bazaar was once described as a sweetshop for the soul! The shop ran successfully until the end of the lease saw its closure in 2007.

Today Eclectica Vintage Jewellery offers a large selection of diverse and glamorous costume jewellery which is accessibly priced and personally sourced by Liz. Eclectica is the leading supplier of vintage costume jewellery to John Lewis department stores nationwide including Johnlewis.com.

Sustainability isn’t a trend for us, it's alwasy been at the core of our business. Choosing pre-loved jewellery has always been a thoughtful way to appreciate craftsmanship while naturally reducing waste, long before eco-conscious shopping had a name. By giving these unique pieces a new story, we celebrate style that lasts.
